I am drawn to the spaces where the physical and spiritual worlds seem to meet—where the ordinary can reveal a deeper meaning. I am fascinated by the possibility that something weathered, broken, or forgotten can transform into something entirely new without losing the story of what it once was.

MEET THE ARTIST

As a self-taught mixed-media artist, my journey has been guided by curiosity, intuition, and a willingness to explore beyond the familiar. Working with clay, fire, wood, stone, bone, resin, and natural elements, I often begin with an idea, but rarely with certainty about where it will lead. I allow the materials and the unexpected to become part of the creative process, revealing possibilities I could have never planned.

"I make art because I was created to create"

I believe art has the ability to reach beyond the surface, to stir emotion, invite reflection, and remind us of the connections that exist between ourselves, nature, and the world around us.

THE ARTIST STATEMENT

And just as nature is never still, neither is my creative journey. I continue to explore, experiment, learn, and evolve—allowing each new creation to become another expression of that journey.

"This is not just art; it is a communion between earth, material, and soul."

For as long as I can remember, creativity has been an inseparable part of who I am. It is more than a passion or a means of expression. It is a way of understanding myself, connecting with the world around me, and giving form to something that cannot always be expressed through words.

Arimathea's artistic journey has received recognition beyond her home in British Columbia, including a feature in Art & Beyond Magazine and recognition as an  Artist of the Future by Contemporary Art Curator Magazine.

Her work has received international recognition, including publication in Art & Beyond Magazine and recognition as anArtist of the Future by Contemporary Art Curator Magazine.

Nature has always been my greatest teacher. Within its beauty, imperfections, cycles, and transformations, I find endless inspiration and a deeper understanding of our connection to all living things.

RECOGNITION

My work often explores transformation, resilience, connection, and the cycles of life. Yet I do not create with the intention of telling someone what they should see or feel. I create with the hope that what lies within the artwork will awaken something within the person experiencing it.

For me, art is not simply about creating something beautiful. It is about giving form to something meaningful.
